What's the billing period?

Our billing period is calculated in 24-hour increments. For example, pick up at 10:00 AM and return by 10:00 AM on your due date to avoid extra charges. Flexible extensions are available if you'd like to keep your rental longer.

Do I have to pay for insurance?

Yes. Third-Party Insurance (TPI) is mandatory in Jamaica, even if your credit card offers rental coverage. We also recommend Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or Full Coverage for added peace of mind.

What should I do if there's an accident?

Dial 119 immediately for emergency services, then contact Patmar's right away at +1-876-477-3148 or +1-876-952-0700. We provide roadside assistance within the Montego Bay coastal region (Lucea to Falmouth) and may deliver a replacement vehicle.

What about taxes?

Jamaica's General Consumption Tax (GCT) is 15%, clearly listed in your booking summary. There are no hidden fees — transparency is one of our core values.

Are your vehicles tinted?

Some vehicles have factory or lightly tinted windows; others are untinted. If you have a preference, mention it in the Notes section when booking and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Are your rental cars new or used?

Most vehicles are three years old or newer. Every car is thoroughly maintained, cleaned, and safety-inspected for a comfortable, reliable drive.

Do you offer pickup at NMIA (Kingston)?

Currently, NMIA pickups are available only for regular or returning customers. Please contact us in advance to confirm eligibility or arrange alternatives.

Do you offer pickup/drop-off in Negril or Ocho Rios?

Our free VIP pickup and drop-off covers the Montego Bay coastal region, including Falmouth (~30 km east of MBJ) and Lucea (~40 km west of MBJ). For Negril or Ocho Rios, call us for a custom quote.

Do I have to pay for gas?

All rentals come with a full tank, and we ask that you return it full. If returned with less fuel, a refueling charge and service fee will apply.

Will I get a refund if I return the car early?

We do not issue cash refunds for unused days. At our discretion, we may offer a rental credit equal to the unused portion — it expires in 365 days and cannot be transferred.

Can I request a manual transmission vehicle?

All of our rental cars are automatic for ease of driving on Jamaica's roads. For extra power or off-road performance, choose one of our SUV models.
